Annual Gospel Music Awards 2024 NOMINATION Guidelines

You are welcome to the page that tells you about your eligibility for NOMINATION for the Sixth edition of the Annual Gospel Music Awards.

First of all,  we believe it remains important to remind you that activities to be considered would strictly have to be of the GOSPEL and of this COUNTRY (NIGERIA) or Nigerians in the diaspora,  furthermore, it is important to note that activities are being taken note of from theAGMA calendar year which runs from the 1ST OF OCTOBER PREVIOUS YEAR “2023” to the 31ST OF SEPTEMBER PRESENT YEAR “2024”, hence,  any activity away from these above mentioned criteria would not be considered worthy of nomination. 

THE RULES

General,

  1. You can Nominate someone, a group, or Yourself.
  2. Anyone or group nominated becomes a Potential Nominee until the OFFICIAL NOMINEES list is released (which will be determined by our 2018-2022 ICONS) 
  3. For songs of the year and the spoken word category, it’s a must that you have a material uploaded on www.goonegospel.com (upload is FREE, and takes little steps)
  4. Best 6 of the nominees we receive will be named the OFFICIAL NOMINEES (so your activities throughout the year will strictly decide your nomination Chances)

Individuals,

  1. 1. Instrumentalists (Pianist, Saxophonist, Drummer, Bass Guitarist, Lead Guitarist): Active involvement in concerts, studio recordings, or church activities throughout the AGMA calendar year qualifies.

  2. 2. Song of the Year (Contemporary, Indigenous, Worship, Rap, Alternative, Pop, Classical, Instrumental): Gospel songs recorded within the AGMA year and an account with www.goonegospel.com to qualify.

  3. 3. Best Collaboration: Gospel songs featuring someone else, recorded within the AGMA year and an account with www.goonegospel.com to qualify.

  4. 4. Best Video: Gospel music videos released within the AGMA year qualify.

  5. 5. Best Dance/Dance Drama Group: Active involvement in concerts or a video of your dance crew within the AGMA calendar year qualifies.

  6. 6. Producer: Production of at least 2 gospel songs within the AGMA year qualifies.

  7. 7. Act on Campus: Active involvement in gospel concerts, recordings, or features in Nigerian tertiary institutions qualify.

  8. 8. Album/E.P: Recording of an album/E.P within the AGMA calendar year qualifies.

  9. 9. Choir/Gospel Group: Choir recordings or active involvement in a concert within the AGMA calendar year qualifies.

  10. 10. Best Young Act (U-19): Recording of audio or video material and active participation in a concert within the AGMA calendar year qualify.

  11. 11. Best Act in Diaspora: Recording of audio or video material or holding a concert within the AGMA calendar year while based outside the country qualifies.

  12. 12. Music Director: Active involvement in church choir or band activities, including concerts and studio recordings throughout the AGMA calendar year qualifies.

  13. 13. Best Blog: Gospel-focused blogs running for over 5 years qualify.

  14. 14. Spoken Word of the Year: Spoken word material recorded within the AGMA year, an account with www.goonegospel.com to qualify.

  15. 15. MC/Comedian of the Year: Active involvement in a church event or organization of a show within the AGMA year with evidence of a YouTube link qualifies.

  16. 16. DJ of the Year: Active involvement in gospel events within the AGMA year with evidence of a YouTube or Instagram link qualifies.

  17. 17. Most Outstanding Act of the Year: Recording of audio or video material and participation in a gospel concert, virtual or physical, within the AGMA calendar year qualifies, regardless of instrument or role.
